WORKSHOPS

I teach cold wax and oil painting, encaustic painting, and art journal sketchbooks.  I love teaching these mediums and the sketchbook form because it gives me the opportunity to engage students from beginners to established artists in a way that is very freeing.  These forms lend themselves to experimentation, architectural layering and multi-media expression.  It is about creating a personal language.  While all art is a very personal expression of the artist, these forms utilize unusual pairings, mark making, layering and constructs to create a unique language specific to each creation.  Students are universally surprised and delighted by their works at the end of each workshop.
