Price Tower Art Center

I was very fortunate to be offered a one-woman show of my work at the Price Tower Art Center in Bartlesville, OK in December 2022 through January 2023. Price Tower is the iconic and only Frank Lloyd Wright "skyscraper" tower in the world. I was humbled, honored and more than a bit nervous. Ultimately, I submitted 33 pieces for the show, some of which were still wet on opening night!

I named the show "Solace" because I realized in looking at the body of work that it represented healing, peace and restoration so needed in our world. The show was a tremendous success, and I was invited to speak to patrons at the opening about the nature of my work and the evolution of the pieces in the show. I was also invited to teach at the Art Center demonstrating the cold wax and oil medium, with which I painted the pieces.

This medium has become one of my primary passions in painting due to its fluidity, versatility and architectural layering, creating a personal language of color and mark making. The possibilities are endless!
